Welcome to the Saratoga Spa Championship Golf Course HOME of the 4½-Hour Round of Golf

Our GOAL is to provide the most enjoyable, value priced golf experience possible. In order to achieve this goal, we have developed this Course Operations Guidelines.

Pace of Play - We are committed to a 4 hour and 30 minute (just under 15 min. per hole) round of golf. Please keep this in mind when scheduling your tee time, and be prepared to skip part(s) of your round if you have difficulty keeping up! (Pace of play assistance is available from the staff.) If you cannot maintain the pace, you will be required to advance to your appropriate position on the course. In the interest of all, it is imperative that everyone commit to this pace!

Cooperation with Staff - Patrons who are rude, unruly, or abusive, or who otherwise mistreat members of our staff (especially our on-course assistants who are responsible for enforcement of these guidelines), or who fail to obey the instructions of our staff, will promptly forfeit their fees and be directed to immediately remove themselves from the property without refund of any kind.

Break After 9 Holes - Your 4½-hour round includes a 10-minute break at the turn. If you lose your place making the turn, we will place you in the next available spot that will not disrupt play.

Playing Conditions - We are working very hard to provide you with the best playing conditions possible. We need your help! PLEASE: (i) repair all ball marks, (ii) obey all cart regulations, (iii) replace divots, and (iv) rake bunkers.

Soft Spikes - We require our patrons desiring to wear spiked golf shoes to use soft spikes.

Clubs Required - Each patron must have a set of clubs. Rentals are available.

Golf Carts - Golf carts are not allowed on the roadways or in the parking areas.
Identification is required to rent a golf cart. Operators must be at least 16 years old.

Play in Foursomes - The starter will combine smaller groups into foursomes where appropriate.

General regulations - The following general regulations apply:

  • Arrive 15 minutes before your tee time. Failure to do so may result in a delayed start.
  • We offer 5 sets of tees. Use the appropriate tees for your skill level.
  • Cooperate with the starter and on-course assistant.
  • Always be aware of your pace and position on the course.
  • Repair all ball marks, obey cart regulations, replace divots, and rake bunkers after use.
  • Obey signals to discontinue play. Your safety may depend on it.

Alcoholic Beverages - Patrons may not bring alcoholic beverages onto the golf course. Patrons who exhibit signs of intoxication will forfeit their fees and be directed to immediately remove themselves from the property without refund of any kind.

Coolers - Coolers larger than 6x6x8 inches may not be brought onto the golf course.

Adherence to Guidelines - We reserve the right to remove any patron who fails to adhere to these guidelines. Patrons so removed are subject to the forfeiture of fees paid.

Thank you for playing the Saratoga Spa Golf Course. Please help us meet our goal of providing you with the most enjoyable golf experience possible! We invite your comments.
